In BLOAT Collectives first film, Bad Vöslau (2017), five unnamed figures unite in the land, moving together as a singular link allying both an extraterrestrial and nostalgic depiction of body and land.
The making of Bad Vöslau became the archetypical moment in BLOAT realising the potential of collective practice. Bad Vöslau articulates a theory found in the landscape and body via intuitive action, labour and companionship. The locations natural conditions, facilitate, frame and activate the work.
